What is your background?

I have always been involved in sports from little athletics as a kid through to competition Touch Football and Tennis in my adult years. I've always trained at a gym although mostly cardio based exercises. Once I decided to compete I then moved into a weights program with my partner Rich.

How did you get started in bodybuilding?

met my partner Rich who was at the time prepping for his first Mr Physique competition, I had never really had any aspirations to compete as I had a fear of the stage and basically being judged. Although after following Rich's diet and then seeing him compete at the INBA Sydney Fitness Expo, it motivated and excited me to give Competing a go. I saw the happiness it brought Rich and the drive he had to compete again and though how cool it would be to prep together and compete together. We set a goal for a comp which fell 5 months later, and haven't looked back since, I have competed in 7 INBA comps thus far.

When did you first decide to compete?

As per the last question.

What does competiting look like for you so far?

I think competing for me has become a lifestyle for myself and my partner Rich. We both love all that is fitness, our training and basically the whole process it takes to get to the stage. I think competing will alway be a part of our lives, whether competing ourselves or helping others that have aspirations to hit the stage. i love that my daughters were so encouraging too

What inspires you?

Definitely my amazing partner Rich whom if it wasn't for him, I would never had made the decision to compete. He trains me and is a huge reason I make the stage in the condition I do. Also seeing how hard he pushes himself and the way he strives to better his physique every show. He competes along side of me with all 7 of my shows and did a total of 10 shows this year. Also another major inspiration is other competitors I have met along the way, their journey, physiques and achievements push me harder with every prep, and of course, forums like this where you can see other like minded individuals with the same goals and struggles.

What is your advice to a new competitor?

I believe and suggest to anyone that has aspirations to compete, is to source out a good comp coach. He or her will be able to assess you and give you the best advice for your training and nutrition. Also they will be able to steer you in the right direction as to what category you would be most suited too. Prepping for completion isn't easy and you will want to quit numerous times, all you have to do, is remember why you wanted to start the process, enjoy the ride and reap the rewards on stage.

What does a typical training week look like for you?

his is basically my training schedule every week

Monday: An hours fasted Cardio before work (which means 4.30am walk) then a weights session after work

Body part : Chest

Tuesday: An hours fasted Cardio before work then a weights session after work

Body part: Back

Wednesday: An hours fasted Cardio before work then a weights session after work

Body part: Full Legs

Thursday: Rest

Friday: Weights session after work

Body part : Shoulders

Saturday: An hours fasted Cardio, then a weights session

Sunday: An hours fasted Cardio, then a weights session

What is your favourite exercise?

love training legs but also love dumbell bench press

What is your least favourite exercise?

My least favourite exercise is decline bench press

Do you have a training tip you can share?

Basically be consistent, make sure you use correct form to reduce the chance of injury, and make every rep count.

What is your favourite Cheat Meal?

Going to be a bit bring here lol and say yogurt and chocolate. Being gluten intolerant I can't indulge in the usual burgers like most competitors would

What are you planning on doing next?

My partner and I are currently in prep for the 2017 Season A with INBA, we are both excited and determined to bring a better package to the stage.
