What is your background?

I have always been an active person. When I was younger I did swimming netball and dancing. I have had great success in all the sports I've taken part in. Placing second in Australia for my dancing and placing top 5 for the past 8 years. I am an all or nothing person so once I set my mind and heart on something I give it my all.

How did you get started in bodybuilding?

I wanted to try something different and I was training at the time. I began to do a bit of research and watch a few people on social media. I went and watched a show and thought I could do this from here a fire inside me lit and prompted me to want to commit and get on stage.

When did you first decide to compete?

My first competition was in September 2016 and I started my prep for that show in June.

What does competiting look like for you so far?

have always been a competitive person having danced since the age of 5. Competition is in my blood and something I thoroughly enjoy. Especially being on stage and performing in front of judges and an audience.

What inspires you?

Seeing progress! Being both my lifts and my physique. I also get inspired by watching a few physiques I inspire to along with the guys I work with at Iron Body. Watching their lifts increase and the determination they have going into their lifts are all aspects I take away to better myself.

What is your advice to a new competitor?

Always keep pushing and progressing. There will be times when you feel flat and ache and can't be bothered. These are the days that test you and make you a stronger person. Push through them as the reward at the end is so much more satisfying and rewarding.

What does a typical training week look like for you?

A general week consists of 4-5 training days and 2 rest days. I do 4-5 exercises and 3 sets of each. At iron Body we focus on always beating our previous performance. In doing so we know that we are getting stronger. All working sets I go to failure until I can not physically move the weight anymore.

What is your favourite exercise?

I love most exercises but my key favourites would be deadlifts and anything shoulders. The deadlift is such a psychological exercise, it takes a strong determined mindset to be able to stand up with the weight but when you do it's such an accomplishment.

What is your least favourite exercise?

I have a love hate relationship for squats. They are such a critical exercise and when complete leave you feeling amazing but whilst in the processes they feel ugly and hard as the load is constantly there.

Do you have a training tip you can share?

Always push yourself to the absolute limit in all exercises. Also attempt for those last few reps. The ones which create agony and you feel like giving up. These are the reps which mean most and truly change your body.

What is your favourite Cheat Meal?

I do love chocolate but just going out for a good steak with the perfect company would be my preference.

What are you planning on doing next?

After winning Miss Universe and becoming a Pro I have a lot of determination to keep competing and working on my physique. I plan to compete at the WFF Pan Pacific held in Auckland as my next show!! Aiming to compete at the WFF World Championships held in Cyprus in November.
